Production process
Raw material selection: Low sulfur petroleum coke (sulfur content<1.5%) is preferred, as excessive sulfur content can affect the quality of downstream products (such as the purity of electrolytic aluminum).
Calcination process:
In a vertical calcination furnace or rotary kiln, petroleum coke is heated to 1200-1500 ℃ under isolated air conditions.
